A ‘little’ visitor to our shores!
I’ve mentioned a little visitor gracing our area in some comments and decided to share the experience. The whale appeared to just be having a rest or contemplating maybe giving birth on her migratory run up the coast. Either way it was delightful to see such a beautiful creature up close and personal for the three days she wandered around the entrance to the Great Lakes Area. Amazingly most of the time she was swimming in very shallow water and had passed under the bridge which wouldn’t have given much ‘breathing room’ through the pylons either side as she came underneath. Who knows, maybe she had heard how lovely the area is and just had to visit π
The following image and link (to video) below is from the 9News site. If you put ‘Forster Whale Australia’ into a search it should bring up many more images, videos etc.
Southern right whale visiting the twin towns of Forster-Tuncurry
Wow! No doubt everyone was freaking out, Mark. What a beautiful sight to see! Iβm convinced she wouldnβt have swallowed me, though, she seems too peaceful and lovely! π€·π»ββοΈ Thanks for sharing!
She just took her time in wandering around for a few days, checking out all these strange creatures along the shores. It did though affect us all, taking our hearts and minds away from the virus for a while and let us know that there is beauty still in this world, right on our doorsteps. And no, she wouldn’t have swallowed you, but I’m sure she would have given you a ride or a hug at least with those big gentle flippers π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
You know I have a huge grin on my face after seeing this, especially with all of our years of talking about those beautiful animals that come into our lives! Thank you for sharing! xo
It was a magical moment to be with something so graceful Yvonne. Everyone was smiling and laughing, kids and adults, all around. Even the virus was just forgotten as something wonderful touched us all instead. My pleasure to share a moment to do the same for others kind lady, I hope it gave a smile to your heart xo π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
It absolutely did, so thank you dear Mark! xoxo
Oh how cool, Mark! A whale! I can’t even begin to imagine how that would feel to be there in person to observe him or her. Just wow!
It was amazing dear lady, that energy is just something else. I think they too are one of the wonders of the world, it affected everyone there as they were all smiling, laughing and even the children were so excited by her visit. We are very spoilt here because the humpback whales migrate up and down past our coastline and we see them quite often. But never that close or for that matter a Southern Right whale, they are quite rare. Thank you for sharing dear lady, I hope your animal encounter is healing well π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
My animal encounter is healing well, Mark, thank you. OH to be able to communicate with such an intelligent creature …. oh how I wish! I truly wonder what the Purpose was for this whale to come so close to shore. You can be sure there was a reason. If just to have all to feel the joy and the purity of the moment …. THAT is Unconditional Love that man still has to master and which wildlife understands.
You hit it perfectly Amy. All that touched that moment could feel that unconditional love, her lovely energy because of that was amazing. She (and I have no idea whether male or female, just that the energy was very balanced), healed us all just from allowing us to ‘touch’ what she is as she passed on by going up and down the channel each day. It was a beautiful lesson indeed π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
How wonderful!
I wish I had a camera like yours Cindy, something to ‘capture’ the moment. But it was indeed a magical energy to be visited by such a beautiful creature π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
It is so amazing that you are having had this beauty in front of your door, Mark. So special! Whenever I am in California I am going on a whale watching tour. I have seen grey whales, blue whales, and some smaller ones, and of course, my favorites: countless jumping dolphins. But again, how wonderful that you are witnessing this from home!
I bet each and every time you smile from somewhere deep inside each time you witness them up close, they have an energy that is so ‘touching’ of somewhere that leaves goosebumps all over. I think it was a knock on our front door as a reminder that this world does have much beauty all around and not be focused on the ‘bad’ bits. Everyone I saw all around the shores and park lands watching her all had smiles, lots and lots of smiles. Every time she lifted her tail or slapped the water with her flipper there was ooh’s and aah’s everywhere and children squealing with the delight of it all. It is our school holidays over here and even though only local state residents could move around it was a delight for their break after all that has been happening. Hey, I was smiling every day too. Each time she wandered up closer to my end of the channel I smiled. Do you know how many cups of coffee I had out on my balcony over those three days, and froze from the cold breeze…many, and loved it!!! π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦ π π€£
What a blessing that you could even watch her from your balcony. This is such a gift, and I totally understand your excitement and the appreciation for this happening. So wonderful!
What a majestic visit my friend!
It was glorious Karla, left me feeling ‘life’ all over. Thank you for sharing yours π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
Aw, youβre welcome Mark! ππ»ππΆππ»
Aw, thatβs awesome Mark! Thank you too! ππΆβοΈ
Many years ago I had an opportunity to be in a boat right next to a pod of Northern Right Whales. They were breathtaking. If my arm has been slightly longer I would have been able to touch a juvenile. A memory I will never forget.
It is an amazing experience to be that close Pam, their energy is beautiful. We have the humpbacks go past every year but only really see them from a distance but one year two adults and a calf were right next to one of the beaches and were actually sleeping, it was such an odd thing to witness but shared something wonderful at the same time of these incredible creatures. And as you said, something you will never forget π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
Oh mark what a gift for her to visit! She properly did lose her way as our magnet is change but Iβm sure she wanted to share her presence with you and others who are guiding the world towards the light!
Thankyou for sharing. Love Barbara x
That was the most beautiful part Barbara, her energy was amazing. To be near her brought tears to my eyes, you couldn’t help it. It is like falling in love which made me ask myself why. And the only answer I can give is that it felt like that ‘attraction’ and ‘connection’ with another, and I think in her case she just gives out an open heart and we can feel it without that human ‘blocking’ that we do β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
Sheβs reflecting our true love, weβve learned to feel here on Earth! In my book, first chapter it was a natural occurrence to see these fishes swimming in shall waters with usππΌπΊβ€οΈ
Yes, we have indeed isolated our hearts truly. These visits are to remind us I think of what we do have inside and return to find it. Thank you for sharing yours Barbara, may you ever be in that place π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
Astounding! Our right whale population here in New England is on the brink of extinction due to shipping collisions, fishing gear entanglements, and other all-too-human activities. Hurrah that this whale graced your harbor area!
Thank you kind sir, it was exciting and indeed a blessing so rare. From what I can gather our population of right whales is only about 30 or 40. We’ve never had a large population of these type of whales so it was incredible to have her ‘drop in’ for a close up. Quite a few humpback whales (their population has increased dramatically as soon as the ban on hunting them went into affect ), get tangled in nets etc and thankfully we have good crews up and down the coast that get many untangled, they have learned that we aren’t harpooning them anymore and though very agitated some start to realise we are actually helping, even though we make it difficult for them with the nets in the first place π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
Wow Mark, how exciting for you to see this in person. Such a lovely, beautiful, and mystical being.
It was indeed so beautiful to feel her energy so close Michele. She did ‘feel’ agitated so I thought she may be ill or going to have a baby but after a few days she just decided to leave. They said her ‘inner’ radar may have been off too but she went around everything here quite easily. I am just happy to have had the chance to come close to something so incredibly amazing, those moments leave us with something inside that no words can contain π β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
I know that I would find it so breathtaking and Spiritual. Something you never forget. xo
