Rumi!

“What you seek is seeking you”

Rumi

“Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form”

Rumi

“There is a candle in your heart, ready to be kindled.
There is a void in your soul, ready to be filled.
You feel it, don’t you?”

Rumi

“Start a huge, foolish project, like Noah…it makes absolutely no difference what people think of you”

Rumi

“When the world pushes you to your knees, you’re in the perfect position to pray”

Rumi

“Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open”

Rumi

“The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself; everything that you want, you already are”

Rumi

“Forget safety. Live where you fear to live”

Rumi

“Take someone who doesn’t keep score, who’s not looking to be richer, or afraid of losing, who has not the slightest interest even in his own personality: he’s free”

  1. I love Rumi! These are some of my fave quotes and now I see new ones for me to love. Thank you! I trust you are well 💜

Yes thank you Tiffany. After the fires and drought I am currently listening to a very light, but very appreciated, shower of rain 😀
And it is hard not to like Rumi, his words settle the heart and mind in understanding them 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘

      • You read my mind. I wondered how you were fairing. Was so grateful to see your like. Have been praying for rain, the situation and have sent cash donations. Much love to you and your country! 💜

        • Mark Lanesbury

Why thank you kindly Tiffany, your donation, love and blessings are most certainly appreciated. I personally was buffered from the fires by a lake so was left safe thank you but there are many people suffering from their losses over here and I am hearing many around the world are sharing from the heart so it brings me to tears to feel that love coming this way, so thank you very much 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘

          • We all feel so helpless. It’s really the least we can do. I’ve also heard of a blanket drive for the injured animals. Have some that I can send. ❤️
So grateful to hear about your safety.
            Much love!

It is a difficult thing to watch such hardship, but to know there are beautiful people caring and giving is a hug to the heart. Many thanks Tiffany, your hugs are very appreciated ❤️ 🙏🏽
I had a quick look and this facebook site arfsncrafts seems to have a group that is putting together many animal rescue items. If you go down the page to a yellow circle with a kangaroo image on it with the name Avalon Llewellyn, press the ‘see more’ link just below it and it will come up with a list of items required and many addresses to send them to in NSW (New South Wales).
Thank you again Tiffany, many hearts make light work. Much love to you 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋 🦘

  2. Ah, Rumi, with his insightful poetry and prose sings to me all the time. Thank you for the share!!

  3. Every one of these quotes I could relate to but this one put tears in my eyes and they are still there ….“Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form”. I’ve lost so many and now I have 3 more fur babies who are in early Hospice. I know where this is going. As I told my sis, I’m doing my best to stay above the storm. My camera and the gym are my therapies ….. as too my gardens. Thank you so much for these quotes. Did you get them from a book or did you get them online? The reason I ask I have many of Rumi’s books.

    • Mark Lanesbury

I stumble across them online occasionally, and life has a tendency to bring them up at the most amazing times.
It is good to hear words that you can relate to, especially when times like your fur babies are reaching that part of their life when it becomes stressful and hard to adjust to what is happening.
Your ‘life’ has been amazing with your therapies dear lady, it is a beautiful thing that at those difficult times there has been something in your heart to follow and give you strength ❤️

      • May you be blessed for reaching out to me, dear friend. I walk a very difficult path. At the end of our cats’ lives, I become exceptionally close to them (Hospice 1 on 1 care) resulting in a very very deep bond. When innocent eyes filled with pain and exhaustion look at me with complete trust and gratitude for the all I am doing, that in of itself takes my Heart and wrings it. I can only focus on the NOW, today, for if I looked into the future I would break. I have a Rumi book right next to my bed. To go to sleep with such beautiful words helps me immensely. Written with a lump in my throat …. deep breath 💝

        • Mark Lanesbury

I have no doubt your heart is tearing each time those eyes look into yours Amy. It can only be felt by one who has traveled that same path and understand the empathy that it creates 💜
And it is a traveler like Rumi who reminds us of that path dear lady, a voice within that speaks that language of love 💜
Big hugs my friend, and an energy from a fellow traveler of life 💜 💖 😀

      • Darn it! I had a long response to your response and I don’t see it. Just know you really touched me deeply with your words, Mark. Thank you. And Bless you! 💖

        • Mark Lanesbury

Its ok Amy, I have your beautiful words on a manual approval while I’m working out my mayhem here on the site 😀
And thank you for your words my friend, a blessing from you is always gratefully received 💖
Blessings to you also, may they give you strength for this journey 💖

  4. Hi Mark Loved the Rumi quotes, and I have learnt to be patient as it must take time to load your site before it allows my like and comment cursor to register.. Third time on this post lucky.. 😀
Hope all is well with you my friend

    • Mark Lanesbury

Hey Sue, glad to hear your voice. I think it is sorta working ok now, I just have to be patient too 😀
And to be quite honest, there has been no rhyme nor reason to what has been happening, I think it is the ‘block’ thing, I’m being taught patience 😀
Mind you, with what has happened I almost need the patience of a saint 😀

  5. Perfect timing my friend and I needed a little nudge and reminder today. Thank you. 😉

  6. Lovely quotes Mark…Thanks for sharing them…Seems all is well with the website now! Yay! VK 🙂

    • Mark Lanesbury

Hi Carolina, and thank you. It does feel good to fire a post out into the ether. Mind you, it is still not working properly and being a little testy.
But hopefully it is working enough that it is usable and not a pain 😀

      • That’s good at least somehow is working!

        • Mark Lanesbury

True my friend. I was beginning to think it was time to take up knitting 😀

          • Ahaha oh well knitting some sweaters for your Winter! ;-)) glad you’re here!

            • Mark Lanesbury

Thank you kind lady. We actually had a lovely 23C here yesterday and a warmer day today coming up. Considering we are in the middle of winter it is lovely 😀

  8. Endearing reminders of this perfect world living inside and all around us

    • Mark Lanesbury

Sorry Eddie, I just found you in the spam folder. I slapped its wrists so you should now be classified as a saint and allowed to wander freely 😀
And yes, it is a perfect world, it helps us to find that beauty inside. Thank you for your comment and perseverance locked inside THAT folder 😀

  9. “when the world pushes you down to your knees, you’re in the perfect position to pray” … Pray n believe that something better is stored for you !! 🍀

    • Mark Lanesbury

Thank you kind lady. I most certainly do believe that there will be better in store for that is the direction my heart is pointed ❤️
      Thank you for sharing ❤️
